Newt Love:
Works of Words
Roland Dice and his side-kick Sandy Banks live and play in
the "Land of Enchanting Living," Maryland, USA.
Unfortunately, death, murder, and mayhem interrupt
the fun, forcing Roland and Sandy to PUNish the wicked.
Fortunately for them, the plots remind Roland of the
plots of classic literature that he studied in school.
They may seem similar, but Roland Dice and Sandy Banks
can't help but to make them funnier. They can't
play it straight; they're serial.
The Scarlet Bettor is the first one to
be finished, and is slated as the novella inside
my first anthology, which I hope that Rockway Press will
publish in 2008.
Plots waiting for me to finish for Roland and Sandy are:
Towed Backhoe Road (a prequel) Roland's parents--Walter and Lois Dice--are
found dead on a defunct turnstile wheel in a railroad yard off of Falls Road in Baltimore.
Roland and Sandy solve the case, and decide to open a detective agency.
Drapes of Wrath It's a case of domestic violence that underlies a complex
plot to ruin several marriages and break up a family that is a pillar in the community.
Canary Row John's Hopkins University coeds who spent spring break in
Jaimaica as sex resort hostesses have turned up missing. Roland and Sandy to the rescue!
Cat on a Hopkins Roof Murder and psychological intrigue color the intense
faculty rivalry at Johns Hopkins University.
The Class Menage-et-trois A curator of maquette at the Baltimore Art Museum
is found dead with her blouse and bra torn open, a rose crushed between her favorite
small sculpture and the olive-toned skin of her exposed breast.
All's Quiet on the Eastern Shore An international peace treaty signed at the Wye River Plantation
is about to be extended by Isreal and the PLO, but Hezzbola demands to be a party to the treaty... until
all three ambassadors fall ill.
